Hampstead Garden Club encourages and welcomes anyone in the surrounding area of Hampstead to become a member of our garden club. We are members of the New Hampshire Federation of Garden Clubs and National Garden Clubs, Inc, our national organization.
We actively recruit men and women, regardless of age, who would love to work outside in our many civic sites in Hampstead and to be a part of our monthly meetings held in Hadley Hall of the Hampstead Congregational Church, Main Street, on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7 P.M. Check the Home page for the current day, date and time of each meeting as we do go on field trips to various locations during the year.
Hampstead Garden Club is a very active organization of 50 members who maintain 7 civic sites in the town of Hampstead, NH, throughout the calendar year. In addition to the civic sites we also decorate the town with our "Deck the Halls" annual event during the Holiday Season. Usually right before Thanksgiving, the town awakes to our overnight gilding of the town with holiday garlands and wreaths on all of the public buildings made by club members during our November workshop. And our annual Plant Sale in May has become an annual event on everyone's calendar who loves gardening. Our plants are local varieties, dug from our own gardens, and nurtured by us during the cold, showery, days of April to be ready for your garden in May.
So, if you think this is for you and you would like to join us in our various activities, have a commitment to gardening in all of its aspects, and don't mind getting dirty, email Terry, membership chairperson for an application and a visit to one or two of our meetings. Dues are $15 annually and the food at the meetings is to die for! Terry's number is 329-6205.
